The firm has grown to three full time designers, plus administrative and drafting support staff. Depending upon the clients’ needs, the firm offers services ranging from traditional hand drafting and rendering to CADD (Computer Aided design and Drafting) and three dimensional color modeling. Hake-Westall Design Group has experience with a broad range of projects including Historic Rehabilitation, Office Buildings, Educational Facilities, Retail Stores, Nursing Homes, Residential and Commercial Condominiums, Restaurants and Single Family Residences. In recent years, Hake-Westall Design Group has prepared plans for several notable projects including the adaptive reuse of the former Plunkett Hospital in Adams for residential condominiums, adaptive reuse of the former Notre Dame Rectory in North Adams to Alumni & Development Offices for Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, conversion of an 1800’s farmhouse to Offices for the Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation, Phases 2 & 3 alterations and expansions for BArT Charter School in Adams, renovations to Hoosac Bank Headquarters and TrueNorth Financial Services in North Adams, the Colonial Plaza expansion in Williamstown, and conversion of the Eclipse Mill and Blackinton Mills to Artist/Loft Condominiums in North Adams. Historic rehabilitation projects include the Jones and Amory Block buildings in Adams, and the Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum (all listed on the National Register of Historic Places). The adaptive reuse of a former Laboratory Building for Social Security Administration Offices in North Adams, a new Financial Center Building in Pittsfield, and the Wound Center at Berkshire Medical Center are examples of recent commercial work.
Current projects include renovations and alterations to several residential Condominiums and Single Family Residences throughout Berkshire County, renovation of a Historic Mill, and a variety of recreational, artist studio, retail, and light industrial undertakings.
